Elon Musk Invited to Witness Gaza’s Devastation: Hamas Calls for Objective Perspective Amidst Rising Tensions

Hamas has extended an invitation to Elon Musk, urging him to visit Gaza and witness firsthand the aftermath of the violence and destruction caused by Israel’s military actions. The invitation was issued by senior Hamas official Osama Hamdan on Tuesday. Hamdan emphasized the need for Musk to gain a more comprehensive perspective on the situation by witnessing the impact on the people of Gaza.

During the press conference in Beirut, Hamdan highlighted the significant damage inflicted on Gaza, stating that Israel had dropped over 40,000 tonnes of explosives on the homes of defenseless Gazans within a span of 50 days. The invitation comes in the context of heightened tensions and Musk’s recent visit to Israel, where he expressed shock at the destruction caused by Hamas attacks on the kibbutz of Kfar Aza. Musk asserted that Israel had “no choice” but to take action against Hamas during his visit.

In addition to the invitation, Hamdan called on the United States to reevaluate its relationship with Israel, urging a halt to the supply of weapons. Furthermore, he appealed to the international community to promptly dispatch specialized civil defense teams to assist in the retrieval of bodies from beneath the rubble in Gaza.

It is noteworthy that Musk, during his visit to Israel, reached an agreement concerning the operation of Starlink satellite units, specifying that they would only be utilized in Israel with the approval of the Israeli Ministry of Communications, including in the Gaza Strip. This decision marked a departure from Musk’s earlier contemplation of providing Starlink to enhance communications in Gaza amid telecommunications blackouts. The tech billionaire has also faced criticism regarding his social media platform, X, for allegedly harboring anti-Semitic and white nationalist content promoting violence and hatred.
