Key Meeting on Community Issues: DIG South Kashmir and Choudry Farooq Ahmad Bajad Discuss Concerns
On August 10, 2024, Choudry Farooq Ahmad Bajad, Sadar of the Dabastan E-India Gujjar And Bakerwal Foundation for Jammu and Kashmir, held a pivotal meeting with Mr. Javid Ahmad Matoo, the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of South Kashmir, at his office.
The meeting focused on critical issues impacting the Gujjar and Bakerwal communities, including unresolved crimes, uncleared FIRs against community members, the alarming unemployment rate among the youth, challenges faced by disabled individuals, the persistence of child labor, and the growing menace of drug peddling.
DIG Javid Ahmad Matoo assured Choudry Farooq Ahmad Bajad of his commitment to addressing these concerns, highlighting that the police are actively working to resolve these matters. He promised to intensify efforts to ensure justice and enhance safety within the community.
After the meeting, Choudry Farooq Ahmad Bajad briefed Dr. Bilal Ahmad Bhat, National Media Coordinator for the Dabastan E-India Gujjar And Bakerwal Foundation, on the discussions and the assurances given by Mr. Matoo.
